Myanmar (Burma): Strengthening Institutions and non-State Actors
World Learning seeks senior technical managers and specialists to be considered for long-term key personnel positions in Myanmar (Burma). The project will support the Government reform agenda, particularly in the focal areas of EU support, by strengthening institutions and non-State actors and developing capacities for efficient policy-making, planning and implementation. The project will provide flexible, demand-driven technical cooperation. Dedicated long-term technical expertise will be mobilized together with ad hoc medium-/short-term experts. Technical cooperation will also include the organization of trainings, workshops, study tours, as well as conduct of assessments, studies and communication and visibility activities to ensure that EU assistance is both well aligned to the country's needs and well communicated.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications forSenior Experts:
- At least 10 years of professional experience
- Experience in EU funded cooperation projects is an advantage,
- Specific professional experience in the field(s) of development work related to:
- Good governance (institutional strengthening, capacity development, policy dialogue, PAR, rule of law)
- Education
- Rural development, agriculture, food and nutrition security
- Trade and private sector development
- Peace-building processes
- Communication
Duration: Three (3) years.
Location: Naypyidaw, Myanmar (Burma).
